Buhari's appointments has shown his hatred for Igbos - Ohaneze

Source: Vangaurd
The Anambra State president of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Dr. Chris Eluemuno, said yesterday in an interview with Anambra Broadcasting Service in Awka that he's not surprised at the way the appointments of President Buhari is going, saying it shows the president's deep rooted hatred for the Igbos..
“I said it during the campaigns that General Buhari does not like Igbo people and it is happening now with all the appointments he has so far made since he came into office on May 29. He appointed five service chiefs and there is no Igbo man, even though Igbo have qualified people to occupy the positions. His party has completed the selection of principal officers in the national assembly and despite the fact that the speaker, Mr. Yakubu Dogara made case to apply the federal character in allocating the offices, the president jettisoned it through his intervention and left Igbo APC lawmakers out.
“He also exhibited his vindictiveness during his recent visit to the United States of America, USA, when he travelled with only governors from his party, leaving out governors from the opposition parties.
“He was also quoted as saying that he would favour those who voted for him and our position is that there is no way the president should expect all Nigerians to vote for him in the last presidential election. That statement contradicted Buhari’s earlier stand that he belonged to everybody and belonged to nobody.”
Eluemuno also said that Buhari had no reason to discriminate against the Igbo because Igbonation played prominent roles in the development of Nigeria and should therefore not be discriminated against in the scheme of things.

According to him, apart from the Secretary to the Government of Federation, SGF, the remaining appointments are ministers and board members, which constitutionally must go to all the 36 states of the federation, adding that appointing an Igbo minister would not therefore be a favour to them.

On the president’s threat to probe only the Jonathan administration, Eluemuno said it would amount to witch hunt if he limited it to the immediate past administration, advising that the probe should start from the PDP civilian administration that began 16 years ago with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who governed for eight years.

How a car salesman was kidnapped during a test-drive and escaped (photos)

A California car salesman was in for the ride of his life after a customer test-driving the vehicle tried to steal it with him in it. The salesman, from a dealership in Concord, California, was on a test drive with a customer on Monday July 27, according to the Concord Police Department when the incident happened.

The dealership, Lehmer's Concord Buick GMC, made a copy of the suspect's driver's license before the salesman left with him for the test drive..

During the test drive, investigators say, the customer told the salesman that he was stealing the GMC Savana Conversion van.
When the car reached the city of Pittsburg, about 10 miles away from Concord, "the victim was able to escape from the suspect by getting out of the car while it was stopped" and called the police, according to the Concord Police Department.
The salesman is shaken up but okay.
The suspect fled the area and was later apprehended by Antioch Police Department, Concord Police said. There was a police chase that ended in a crash.
"The suspect was arrested and later transported to County jail for kidnapping, resisting arrest and for stealing a car," Concord Police said Monday. "The suspect’s identity has not been confirmed at this time and we are unable to release any identifying information. This is still an on-going investigation and no additional information will be released to the public at this time."

KAI! Buhari's New Anti-corruption Team Now Going After "Super Rich" Civil Servants

The Federal Government’s anti-corruption operatives are now going after ‘super rich’ public officers who have multiple properties and other assets suspected to have been the rewards of graft.
It was learnt, that the searchlight of the anti-corruption agents was on civil servants that possess many properties in the Federal Capital Territory.

It was gathered that in Abuja on Wednesday, operatives in the Assets Tracing, Recovery and Management Unit of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission had been asked to invite suspects for interrogation and recovery of ill-gotten assets in their possession.

It was gathered that the ICPC had strengthened the ATRMU by posting more personnel to the unit to ensure the success of its campaign.

An operative at the ICPC, who confided in one of our correspondents, said the ICPC was using the anti-corruption transparency unit of the commission in ministries, departments and agencies to coordinate the ongoing investigation of the “super rich” civil servants in the country.

It was learnt that the ICPC was relying on petitions from civil servants and the ACTU operatives to carry out its investigations into the activities of the affected civil servants.
It was gathered that the ICPC operatives’ focus had been on civil servants who have more than three properties and a fleet of cars beyond their income.

Although the source did not mention the number of civil servants that had been interrogated in relation to the new move to check fraud in the civil service, it was learnt that several personnel of the civil service had been placed under watch by the ICPC.

The source said any civil servant found to have compromised his office to acquire wealth would be charged to court after the proceeds of the corrupt acts would have been confiscated by the Federal Government.

The source said,
“The ICPC is intensifying efforts to retrieve some of these stolen assets from those involved.
“You know that the commission has a unit called the Assets Tracing, Recovery and Management Unit. This is the unit that is involved in probing those who have such assets with stolen funds.
“In fact the operatives are working very discreetly on the issue but the focus of the ICPC’s probe is the civil service.
“Those civil servants living a life beyond their means, their lifestyles are under watch. People are monitoring them, whistle-blowers are writing petitions and the Assets Recovery Unit is following up on them.
“Another thing is that we have the Anti-Corruption Transparency Units in all the agencies; these units are being supervised by our officers. They are collaborating with whistle-blowers in the various ministries and agencies…”
The Resident Consultant, Media and Events of the ICPC, Mr. Folu Olamiti, said that he was aware of the presence of the ARMTU and its constitutional functions but asked our correspondent to call back for a response on the current investigation.

Must Read!!!!! Dead people voted in Ohafia, says APGA candidate

Chief David Onuoha-Bourdex, the Abia-North senatorial candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in the April legislative election, told the election petitions tribunal sitting in Umuahia that dead people voted in Ohafia.
Onuoha-Bourdex, who stated this while testifying before the tribunal on Tuesday, said that the results of the election which favoured the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, showed that dead people voted for him.
The APGA candidate merged his petition with that of ex-Gov. Orji Uzor Kalu of the Progressive Peoples Alliance, PPA, to challenge the victory of Ohuabunwa.

Onuoha-Bourdex, who was cross-examined by the respondents’ lawyers, including Donald De-Wigwe, lead counsel for Ohuabunwa, and Livy Uzoukwu, counsel for the Independent National Electoral Commission, said that INEC also confirmed that there were widespread irregularities in the zone during the election.

He said that the committee set up by the Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state discovered that the outcome of the election was heavily manipulated in the favour of the PDP’s candidate.

He accused INEC of colluding with the PDP to rig the election, the APGA candidate argued that if the votes were properly counted, he would score a total of 37,115 votes against his opponent’s 28, 800.

She also served in the US Marine Corps from 1991 to 1995 and was selected for Presidential Security duty under President Bill Clinton. After leaving the marines, Janae, who was at the time known as Matt, attended Ferris State University and now works as a registered pharmacist in the specialty pharmacy division of Walgreens.
Just two months after Caitlyn Jenner made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair, a world champion bodybuilder and former Marine has come out as transgender on social media.

Janae Marie Kroc, who was formerly known as Matt 'Kroc' Kroczaleski, announced on her new Instagram page that she is both 'transgender and gender fluid', explaining that she is 'currently still living life in both genders'. The author and model also revealed that she is trying to wait until her three sons are older before moving forward with her transition.
'If I am forced to pick a gender I identify with more it is female,' the 42-year-old said. 'However, this really isn’t about me being a boy or a girl or something in between. This is just about me being me, who I am and who I know myself to be.'

MUST READ! Psychiatric Doctor Recount How He Was Molested By A Patient

Health workers at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, share their experience with BUKOLA ADEBAYO..Doctors at the hospital are on strike to protest against inadequate security.

Working in a conventional hospital is no child’s play. It has its difficulties. But working in a psychiatry hospital poses a different challenge. In fact, the latter has bigger challenges.
And the story of some members of staff of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, easily conveys this. According to them, working in an environment that has the mentally-challenged persons is more than a tea party.

A member of staff of the organisation and nurse, who craved anonymity for fear of victimisation, said:
“A patient bit me in many places and tore my clothes while I was trying to help him out. Apart from that, two of my colleagues were injured recently because there were not enough guards to rescue them during a crisis. We are supposed to have restrainers and some other gadgets because patients here can be unpredictable.
''The frequent attacks on us by some of these patients are making some members of staff to seek transfer to other places. Against this back, I must tell you that we need more trained guards to assist us to serve our patients better.”

The story of another worker in the hospital similarly makes an interesting reading. According to the doctor, who also sought anonymity, there was a time she could not go to work for three months because she suffered Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder occasioned by harassment from a patient.
The doctor, nonetheless, blamed her assault on the lack of enough trained security personnel in the hospital.

She said:
“Anytime I remember that experience I break down because I suffered PTSD and could not even go back to work for three months. A patient molested me and there was no one to defend me. This patient was violent. He destroyed many things in the hospital with his bare hands and even his actions scared other patients. While I was trying to douse the tension and counsel his aged mother on how to handle him, he molested me. In fact, as a result of his beating, I could not sleep for some days.’

The President, Association of Resident Doctors in the hospital, Dr. Jeje Oyetayo, also confirmed that the hazard working in the facility was high.
According to her, two of her female colleagues were attacked in the hospital last June.
Oyetayo, who called on the Federal Government and authorities to review the security logistics in the hospital, said the call was to protect the lives of workers.
She said:
“Patients have attacked doctors on many occasions in the hospital because we do not have trained security personnel. The patients also suffer injuries when caregivers are being rescued. This is a setback to their recovery. The government and the authorities must address this. There are no escape routes for workers in case of an emergency, especially when we have an aggressive patient.

“There is no functioning alarm system to alert even the few security officials for help in case of an emergency.
“The Federal Ministry of Health needs to step in to avoid loss of lives as well as bodily harm to health workers as well as patients and their relatives.”
For a social worker at the hospital, the payment of only N5,000 monthly allowance for injuries sustained in lines of duty is ridiculous. She said:
“We went on strike to protest the hazard allowance. It is absurd, how can you be paying us N5,000 monthly for the risk that we take every day. Overseas, special financial consideration is given to workers in psychiatric hospitals.

“The government must look into this. The minimum should be N30,000. It is not even enough to compensate us.”
According to another nurse, apart from having inadequate security personnel, the few ones on the ground are not trained to work with mentally-challenged patients.
He pointed out that there were occasions some of the guards took to their heels when patients went violent because they did not have the necessary skill or gadgets to restrain them.
According to him, security personnel were employed on locum or contract basis, which makes it difficult for them to get the training and exposure needed to handle the sensitive nature of patients at the hospital.

“Many of them on contract have been working for a year now without any salaries. This will definitely affect their commitment to the job.”
He noted that the hospital also had few crisis intervention officers compared to the number of patients on admission or those that come regularly for treatment.
“The management is not helping matters as well because if you are not paying your security personnel, you do not expect them to work. The update is that those who have not been paid have stopped coming and new ones who have been recruitedhave not experience.
“So, when a patient is violent, the few untrained ones would be on the edge because they do not know the next step to take. This offers the violent patient the opportunity to run away.”

Even as the workers complain, a top management official of the hospital said that the Federal Government had not released money for the salaries of the outsourced workers in the hospital. He said:
“It was the same complaint before we left the board. The Federal Government said the management should outsource some of their needs, including security. Meanwhile, it did not release money to pay outsourced workers.”

Meanwhile, the Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Rahman Lawal, said the authorities were already addressing the security challenges at the hospital.
He said, “We have employed five additional security personnel for the outpatient and two of them are manning the outpatient units at a point. We have also started work on their consulting rooms and providing emergencyexits in the rooms.”

Female rapist faces jail after being found guilty of running paedophile ring

Female rapist faces jail after being found guilty of running paedophile ring

A female rapist has been found guilty of running a paedophile ring which subjected five young children to sexual and physical abuse over more than a decade.
Ten people - including six women - were on trial accused of the child sex abuse which is said to have centred around Marie Black, 34, of Norwich.

She denied 26 offences at Norwich Crown Court but today, after 19 hours of deliberations and a three-month trial, the jury convicted her of all but three counts.
She was found guilty of offences including rape, conspiracy to rape and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
Black sobbed uncontrollably in the dock as the verdicts were delivered.

Michael Rogers, 53, from Romford, Essex, was also found guilty of 14 counts including cruelty, rape and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Jason Adams, 43, a former cleaner at Norwich and Norfolk University Hospital, was found guilty of 13 similar counts.

Carol Stadler, 59, from Norwich, was found guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm but cleared of nine other charges, including serious sexual assaults.

The remaining defendants - Anthony Stadler, 63, Nicola Collins, 36, Andrew Collins, 52, Judith Fuller, 31, Denise Barnes, 43, and Kathleen Adams, 85, all from Norwich - were cleared of all counts.

On some occasions, the adults threw parties and played card games to decide who would abuse which child, Mrs Rafferty said.

In interviews the victims described how they were abused in front of one another and other adults.

They said the abuse became so routine the victims came to accept it as normal.
The children were preyed upon during a period beginning around 15 years ago. Several victims described Black and Jason Adams taking photos and laughing.
One male victim said: ‘There would be parties and they would do some games where the boys were in one room with the men and the girls were in another with the women.

‘The adults would have a card game and the winner would get to choose a boy to start touching their private parts and then hurt them afterwards.’

Describing Black, Mrs Rafferty said: 'Was she a helpless victim of abusive males or was she herself deeply involved with the children's ill treatment?

'Many of the defendants have become good at appearing normal and respectable.
'This is what you would have to do in order to be child abusers to the extent alleged here.'
All of the defendants denied abusing the children, and claimed it simply did not happen.
During the trial it emerged that police had launched an investigation in to the conduct of Norfolk County Council social workers involved in the case.

The court heard that the trial had originally been due to start last year only to be delayed when prosecutors raised concerns over changes made by social workers to statements taken from the children.
This resulted in Norfolk Police launching an investigation into alleged misconduct.
Sarah Elliott QC, representing Black, told the court that at the time the county's children's services department had recently failed an Ofsted inspection, being ranked 'inadequate' in all areas.
The guilty defendants will be sentenced this afternoon.

Speaking outside the court, Detective Chief Inspector Pete Hornby praised the bravery of the victims and said he was satisfied with the result of a 28-month investigation.

He added: 'This case provides a sickening glimpse into sexual abuse on a large scale.'
He said the force had concluded its investigation into the allegations made against social workers and no criminal charges would be brought.

Mr Hornby added: 'In their tender years, these children were subjected to sexual abuse beyond most people's imagination by adults they believed were telling the truth.
'It is the most harrowing case I have dealt with in 23 years of policing.

'Marie Black has been found to be at the centre of this abuse and incited others to commit abuse against them. She thought they would never speak out.
'Today's verdict is testament to the children's bravery and to the hard work of dedicated professionals from a range of agencies in this case.

'It has brought them the knowledge they are believed and, I hope, will encourage other victims of abuse to find their voice and come forward.'

Sheila Lock, interim executive director of Norfolk children's services, said: 'Sexual abuse against children is an horrific crime and still often goes under-reported or unnoticed.
'The victims in this case have shown tremendous courage in speaking out and I hope that this verdict will give other victims or witnesses the confidence to report abuse - because agencies in Norfolk will listen and act.

'This was a complex case brought by the Crown Prosecution Service, with our staff among several witnesses who gave evidence in the proceedings.
'The needs of the children, who were central to the prosecution case, have always been at the fore of our minds and have been the main focus of all of the agencies involved.'

4 bridesmaids were killed and at least five other people were seriously injured after a limousine was hit by a pickup truck during a suspected DWI on Long Island in New York wine country.

The victims' names have not been released but they are thought to be from the New York City are
Police say an intoxicated driver was arrested after his pickup up truck slammed into a limo causing a crash that killed four woman and seriously injured two others on the eastern end of Long Island Saturday evening.
The crash happened around 6 p.m. in Cutchogue on the North Fork of Long Island.
The limo driver, and seven women who were part of a bachelorette party, were in the limo which had just left Vineyard 48 Winery, located on Route 48, CBS2’s Dave Carlin reported.
Officials told Carlin the limo left the winery and was heading eastbound on Route 48 when it attempted to make a U-turn westbound. The truck then apparently t-boned the limo.

3 woman died on impact and another woman died a short time later at Taconic Bay Hospital. All were bridesmaids.

The police chief said it was one of the worst accidents he has ever seen. The crash was so violent, it nearly cut the limo in half, Hall reported.

2 of the other women, including the bride, are in critical condition. The limo driver is expected to survive, officials told Carlin.

The driver of the truck was transported to the hospital for lacerations on his face. Police tell Hall the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. His identity has not been released either.

Neighbor Diana was on the scene shortly after the crash.
“It’s so sad because I heard that the girls in the limousine may have been around for the bachelorette party so you know something like that happening .. It’s insane,” Diana said.

Iker Casillas breaks down in tears as he bids farewell to Real Madrid

Goal keeping and Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas broke down in tears yesterday Sunday July 12th as he said goodbye to Real Madrid fans during a farewell press conference. After 25 years at Real Madrid (he joined Real's youth academy in 1990), the 35 year old is moving to Porto
After 25 years of defending the crest of the greatest team in the world, the most difficult day in my sports career has arrived: I have to say goodbye to an institution that's given me everything. I have come to this great stadium today to say goodbye to all of you. As of Saturday I'm no longer a Real Madrid player, now I'll be a Porto player. I am moving to Porto for many reasons.
'Firstly I am joining Porto because of the excitement that the coach has transmitted to me. Secondly, because of their affection, they have won me over. I'll do everything I can to not disappoint them and fight as hard as possible to win as many titles as I possibly can there.'
'This club didn't just teach me how to be a sportsman, it taught me how to be a person. I've learned a lot form all of my coaches. They have been a fundamental part of my development and my career. Every day we've been forming a part of Real Madrid and they've always supported me. I want to say thank you to my parents and all my family.
'Thank you to the Madrid fans for their support, helping me lift every cup, every triumph, for being with me in the good moments and the bad moments. Forgiving me a hand when I needed lifting up. I don't want to be remembered as a good goalkeeper or a bad goalkeeper, I just want to be remembered as a good person, with my faults.
'Thank you. Thank you. A thousand thank yous. Wherever I go, I will always shout Hala Madrid. I’m sure in the future we’ll see each other. I’m not going to say goodbye, because it’s not goodbye. I hope to see you soon. Thank you, to all of you.'

So Sad!!!! Woman cuts neighbour’s throat during argument

Helen Okeke has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing her neighbour, identified only as Rose, in the Ikota, Ajah area of the state.
It was learnt that Okeke slit Rose’s throat after the duo reportedly had an argument over who poured urine on the latter’s clothes that were spread on the entrance door to her room.

It was gathered that Rose, who was reportedly getting ready for her wedding, had returned from work in the afternoon, and noticed a foul smell on the clothes spread on her door.

It was learnt that the deceased went to the landlady, Alhaja Iyabo Hamzat, to report the matter. The landlady was said to have pacified her, offering to give her the money to buy some detergent to wash the clothes.
However,a short time after, other neighbours, heard Rose’s sudden cry for help in the corridor. The suspect was said to have been found holding the deceased by the neck, with a bloodstained kitchen knife in her hand.
Rose however died before she could be rushed to a nearby hospital.
The matter was said to have been reported to the Ajah Police Division, Ajiwe, and Okeke was arrested.
According to reports, Alhaja Hamzat said she had served a notice to Okeke, commonly known as Mama Chinedu, on several occasions to pack out of the house, adding that the suspect refused to leave.
She said,
“At about 5pm that day, Rose came to my apartment. She said she came to report Iya Chinedu.
“She said when she returned from her workplace, she found her curtain, towel and other clothes drenched with urine. She said she suspected that it was Iya Chinedu who poured the substance on her clothes.
“I begged Rose and told her that I would give her money to buy detergent to wash the clothes. She had hardly returned to her room when we heard screams of ‘help help!’ We all rushed there and we saw Rose in a pool of blood with Iya Chinedu holding a bloodstained knife.
“With shock, we rushed Rose to a hospital, but she died on the way.
“Iya Chinedu moved into my house just last year. She moved in with her son. The son later left, saying she was fed up with her mother. I had served her quit notices on several occasions, but she refused to move out.
“I went to the police at Ikota to report her, but the policemen there said they would not meddle in landlord-tenants’ affairs.”
Another resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that Okeke had been moody before that day.
Another resident in the area, identified only as Blessing, said after Okeke had stabbed her neighbour, some angry youths beat her up.
She said,
“Mama Chinedu did not show any remorse at all. Some boys became angry and beat her up.
“Everyone was shocked, and wanted to find out what offence was committed that made Okeke to stab the young lady.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident.
He added that the matter would be transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigation, Yaba, for further investigation.
He said,
“The police visited the scene and removed the corpse to a public morgue in Yaba.
“The suspect has also been arrested. She will be transferred to the SDCI after the police have concluded their preliminary investigations.”

Amanda Lepore, 46, is one of the most famous transsexual fixtures on the New York party and she has the most expensive body in the world...she bought 'em...:-)

Amanda who had a sex-change at age 19 has had three breast augmentations, buttock implants and even had her bottom ribs broken so she could achieve a smaller waist. It's illegal in the US so she went to do it in Mexico. She's also had multiple nips and tucks, lip injections, fillers, Botox, a nose job, a forehead lift and had her hairline lowered.

Asked how much her cosmetic work has cost in total, the busty blonde declined to provide an answer, merely stating: 'There is a reason I am labeled ‘The Most Expensive Body On Earth’.

She says that her s*x change from male to female, was the most painful procedure she’s had done.
'It didn’t hurt when I got it done at the hospital,' she recounted. 'But they give you a dilator as part of the healing process, which you have to keep in for extended periods of time to stretch the vaginal opening. If I could have a crystal ball and see what I look like now - you know, modeling, hanging out with Daphne Guinness - I'd be like, "Wow, I can't believe this" It felt like a knife.
