Last season was one to remember, at least Leicester made sure of that. The English premier league produced one of the most sensational fairytales in sports history as Leicester city football club- a team that would have been said to have overachieved with a mid-table finish- soared to the top of the table and put the so-called big teams in their place as they went the distance to claim the title against all odds.
First there was La Decima but Real Madrid were not through making history. They went for the Un Decima in the UEFA champions league last season and they delivered to the delight of their fans and the dismay of their city rivals.
The Serie A was bagged yet again by Juventus but it was not a season without worries for them as a shaky start to their campaign almost derailed their title bid.
Another La Liga season thrilled us with MSN and the city of Madrid with BBC and Atleti who were on the wings anxiously waiting to pounce on any slip up from the eventual champions Barcelona.
We witnessed one of the greatest matches in Europa League history thanks to Liverpool and Dortmund but in the end, it was business as usual for Sevilla as they claimed a record 5th title and 3rd in a row, becoming the europa league's most successful club in the process.
