Bobby Shmurda Arrested In Connection To ‘Multiple Shootings’

Absolutely shocking! Rapper, Bobby Shmurda was arrested on Dec. 16, reportedly during a sting operation involving drug trafficking and several shootings in New York City.

Bobby Shmurda, 20, — the creator of the “Shmoney Dance” — is definitely in hot water! According to a new report, the “Hot Boy” rapper was arrested on Dec. 16, after leaving a recording studio close to Radio City Music Hall. Bobby and several others were arrested following a long-term investigation by the NYPD into a series of gang-related shootings and drug trafficking.

So shocking! According to a new report, Bobby had been under surveillance by the police before he was arrested while sitting in a car outside a recording studio in NYC near Radio City Music Hall, TMZ reports.
While the specific charges have yet to be disclosed, the site reports that it was a part of a long-term investigation by the NYPD. Bobby is scheduled to have an arraignment on Dec. 18.
Kati Cornelldirector of public information in the office of the city’s special narcotics prosecutor told Wondering Sound, “These arrests were the result of a long-term investigation. My office has a sealed indictment against a number of individuals.” She also revealed that the case is not just about drugs, “The investigation did involve a number of violent incidents as well as narcotics trafficking.”
This is not the first time that Bobby — whose real name is Ackquille Pollard — has had a run in with the law. Back in October 2014, Bobby was arrested on a misdemeanour marijuana charge and in June for the possession of a weapon.
