Elton John Marrying Partner

Congrats, Elton! The iconic artist is set to tie the knot with his longtime parter, David Furnish, in an intimate ceremony on Dec. 21, according to a new report. Read the details here!

Following the legalization of same-sex marriage in Britain, Elton John, 67, and his partner of 21 years, David Furnish, 52, will officially say their “I do’s!” While there was speculation the wedding would happen in 2015, a new report claims the couple will be heading down the aisle on Dec. 21. Such exciting news!

It’s official — Elton and David, who formed a civil partnership in 2005, will tie the knot, Elton’s rep confirmed to People.
Shortly after England’s legalization of same-sex marriage, David revealed that he and Elton were planning a wedding in May. However, wedding rumors have been flying around like crazy that David and Elton will actually be saying their vows before the New Year! Multiple sources have reported that an intimate ceremony will take place at the couples’ Windsor estate on Dec. 21, according to the site.
In 2005, Elton and David celebrated their civil partnership with a lavish ceremony and reception in Windsor, England. It was a $2 million star studded event with guests such as Victoria Beckham and Ringo Starr. We can only imagine how extravagant their wedding will be!
“We don’t feel the need to take an extra step legally,” David said to The Las Vegas Review Journal in March. “But since we’re committed for life, we feel it’s really important to take that step, and take advantage of that amazing change in legislation. We all live by example.”
Elton and David share two children together, sons Zachary and Elijah.
