Jose Canseco: MLB Player Accidentally Shoots Off His Finger

So sad. Legendary MLB slugger Jose Canseco accidentally shot himself in the hand in his Las Vegas home on Oct. 28. Jose was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he is now undergoing intense surgery to reattach his left middle finger.

Famous MLB player Jose Canseco, 50, suffered a scary injury on Oct. 28 after he accidentally shot himself in their Las Vegas home. Jose was reportedly cleaning his gun, when he pulled the trigger and shot his middle finger off. Jose was then rushed to a local hospital, where he is undergoing surgery to reattach the finger.

The unfortunate incident was a complete shock to both Jose and his fiancee, Leila Knight. Jose was allegedly unaware the gun was loaded. The bullet reportedly blew off Joe’s left-hand middle finger, according to the Daily Mail.Jose was rushed to the hospital around 3 P.M. ET and he underwent surgery to reattach his finger at 10 P.M. ET. Even more unfortunate is the fact that he might never regain full use of his finger, even if they are able to reattach the remainder of it.
This news is incredibly disheartening and sad. The Cuban-American MLB star is a right-handed batter who hit 462 home runs and was a six-time All-Star during his career.
We are keeping Jose in our thoughts and wishing him a full, healthy, and speedy recovery!
